National Sports day at Longowal Polytechnic College,Derabassi

29 August is celebrated as National Sports Day in India. It is the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand who is one of the most respected legendary figures in India and world Hockey. On this occasion, Volleyball and Table Tennis competitions were conducted at Longowal Polytechnic College, Derabassi campus from 28^th August, 2019 to 30^th August, 2019. Students participated with great zeal. Nikhil Sharma from Electrical Engineering and Maninder Saini fromMechanical Engineering got first and second position in Table Tennis championship.Gurwinder Singh’s team from applied science was the winning team of Volleyball competition. After competition, prizes were distributed amongst the winners by the Principal, Dr. Rosy Katyal.
