Tree plantation drive

On the auspicious occasion of 550th Parkash Utsav of Sh. Guru Nanak Dev ji, Longowal Polytechnic College & W.C.I.T.I. conducted ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ . Guru Nanak Dev Ji ,founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus, through his teachings has always promoted the idea that love and concern for nature if part of a holistic approach to life and thus environment degradation or exploitation must be avoided. Dr. Rosy Katyal (Principal) planted ‘Ashoka’ tree and encouraged students to plant more trees and take care of their plantations thereafter.
