Longowal Polytechnic College, Dera Bassi welcomed new students of the college by holding an Orientation Programme in the College on 24th September, 2019. The students of first year and lateral entries of second year of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering attended the programme and got extra knowledge about their trades. The aim of the Programme was to gradually introduce new students to life in the college, from academics and activities to resources and support services. The nervousness and excitement of the students was there still they enjoyed the interactive session with Dr. Vinod Katyal (Admission Director). Students were told about the importance of their trade and engineering profession in society and how can they achieve their aim. The event created a warm ambience thus building an atmosphere that minimizes anxiety, promotes positive attitude, and stimulates an excitement for learning. In the end, every student looked motivated and confident after attending the programme.
