Eid and Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

Longowal Group of Colleges celebrated Eid Milad – Un Nabi and Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birthday with great fervor and enthusiasm. An awareness drive called ‘ Swachhata Pakhwada’ was also organized to pay tribute to Gandhiji and also to spread awareness about cleanliness. Various contests like Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and Collage Making competition were held on the event. The celebration saw an overwhelming response from the students. They beautifully portrayed their ideas on the canvas. The slogans and posters made by the students reflected the ideas of non-violence, truth, brotherhood and also showcased the rich cultural legacy of the country. Smt. Kanta Katyal, Chairperson of the college, was the Chief Guest who always inspires the students with her great contribution. Through their performances, the students brought out the significance of Eid, including speeches on life style of beloved Prophet (PBUH)). The spirit of Eid was well imbibed by the students through the performance like Tilawat and Naat. Chairman Sir (Dr. Kapil Katyal) further filled the atmosphere with patriotism and pride with a beautiful song remembering Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Principal Dr. Rosy Katyal appraised the students about thinking and ideology of Gandhiji, specially emphasizing the importance of humanity and universal brotherhood.
