Blood Donation Camp

In the loving memory of Late Sh. B.B. Katyal (Founder Chairman), Longowal Group of Colleges and W.C. Industrial Training Institute has organized its 13^th blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotary Club, Chandigarh and Bharat Vikas Parishad, Derabassi on 7-March-2024 in the Polytechnic Wing, Shakti Nagar, Derabassi. The camp received an overwhelming response from the college staff, students and local residents. A total of 154 donors were registered and 89 unit of blood was collected. All the students participated with full enthusiasm. Many of them were first time donors. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Kapil Katyal (Vice- Chairman, Longowal group of Colleges).Past President Jaspal Singh Sidhu (Rotary Club Chandigarh), Rotarian Teena Virk (Director, Community Services Rotary Club Chandigarh) along with Rotarian Arun Aggarwal and Rotarian Dr. Manish Rai of Rotary Club Chandigarh were present. Rotary Club, Chandigarh also spread awareness about Thalassemia disease. Members of Bharat Vikas Parishad Derabassi, Mr.Upesh Bansal (President), Mr. Barkha Ram (Secretary), Mr.Nitin Jindal (Finance Secretary), Mr.Som Nath Sharma (Regional Secretary) and Mr. Parmjeet Singh Saini (Press Secretary) were also present for encouragement of the donors.  Rotary Blood Resource Center, Sector-37 was the blood collection agency led by Rotarian Dr. Manish Rai. Dr. Vinod Katyal (Secretary) and Mrs. Sakshi Katyal (HR &TPO) of Longowal Group of Colleges were also present for the motivation of the donors. With the blessings of Mrs. Kanta Katyal (Chairperson, Longowal Group of Colleges), the blood donation camp was a success under the leadership of Dr. Rosy Katyal (Principal) and the team of Longowal Group of Colleges.
