Fresher’s Fiesta 2025 Sparkles with Talent and Achievements at Longowal Group of Colleges, Derabassi

 

Longowal Group of Colleges, Derabassi resonated with excitement and joy as both the Academic and Polytechnic Wing jointly organized the grand “Fresher’s Fiesta 2025” on 4th November 2025 at the Polytechnic Wing.

The event aimed to warmly welcome the new students and celebrate academic excellence, creativity, and confidence. The day was filled with energetic dance performances, melodious songs, and a stylish ramp walk, which were the main highlights of the programme.

From Academic College Nikita (BSC. ATOT) was titled as Miss Fresher and Umaar (BSC. RIT) was titled as Mr. Fresher.

Apart from these main titles several other honors were awarded. Miss Beauty was given to Irtiza (B.Sc AI & ML), Miss Confidence to Poonam (BCA) and

Mr. Confidence to Vibhor (BSC. RIT).

From Polytechnic College Amanpreet Kaur (DMLT) was titled as Miss Fresher and Pratham Machhal (DMLT) was titled as Mr. Fresher.

Miss Confidence to Shrishti (DMLT) and Mr. Smart to Lovedeep Singh (Civil 1st Year)

During the Award Ceremony, outstanding students from both wings were felicitated for their brilliant academic performance.

The State toppers of PSBTE & IT (Polytechnic wing) are:

  1. Satyam Kr. Rana (ME, 4th Sem) – 81.5%, College Rank 1, State Rank 9th (1st Year)
  2. Aditya Kumar (ME, 1st Year) – State Rank 18th
  3. Krishna Patel (ME, 3rd Sem) – State Rank 20th

The Chairperson Smt. Kanta Katyal, also attended the celebration and praised the performances, discipline, and enthusiasm of students, calling the event a reflection of teamwork and excellence.The event was graced by eminent dignitaries — Dr. Kapil Katyal (Vice Chairman), Dr. Vinod Katyal (Director Admissions / Principal, LAC), and Dr. Rosy Katyal (Principal, LPPC) — who congratulated the new students and appreciated the toppers for their dedication and hard work. Ms.Rajni Chadha,  social worker also graced the occasion with her benign presence.The vibrant celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving behind moments of pride, laughter, and togetherness that perfectly captured the spirit of the Longowal Group of Colleges — a blend of learning, culture, and leadership.
