Campus Placement Drive, 9-October-2023

As per the instructions of Director Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab Government, a Campus Placement Drive has been organized on 9-october-2023 in W.C.I.T.I, Dera Bassi which is a part of Longowal Group of Colleges, Dera Bassi in association with Principal Govt. I.T.I, Banur . The companies which were invited to the drive, included Nector Lifesciences, Indo Swift Ltd., Kejriwal Bee Care, Molson Coors Brewery, Phifer India Pvt. Ltd. and many more organizations. The Drive was conducted for all Diploma Mechanical Engineering, Diploma Electrical Engineering, BBA and ITI (Electrician, Fitter, R&AC, Electronics, COPA, Welder) students.  Around 127 candidates turned up for this drive, of which 87 were shortlisted by the various companies that interviewed the candidates. Mr. Paramjit Singh, Principal, Govt. I.T.I. Banur and Mr. Harbinder Singh Principal, Govt. I.T.I. Lalru grace the occasion with their benign presence. Mrs. Kanta (Chairperson) was the inspiring force behind the whole endeavor.  There was an overwhelming response from both girls and boys. The companies have promised to pay Rs.17000 to 20000 salaries along with canteen facility and uniform to the selected candidates. Some companies have even recruited Boiler Attendants also. Dr.Kapil Katyal (Vice-Chairman) said that these kinds of Placement Drives reflect college’s commitment to provide holistic education to students that not only focus on academic excellence but also equips them for industry requirements. Dr. Vinod Katyal (Director Admissions) and Dr. Rosy Katyal (Principal) congratulated the students for their momentous achievements. Mrs Sakshi Katyal (HR & TPO) expressed her delight over successful placement drive and assured that college will continue to invite more companies and startups to boost the placements.
