Republic Day and Voters Day Pledge

The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with all its solemnity and grandeur at Longowal Polytechnic College and WCITI, Derabassi on 26th January 2020. .Dr.Kapil Katyal, the Vice chairman of the college, unfurled the national flag and addressed the students reminding them of the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “India”.

Students presented patriotic songs, speeches and Hindi patriotic play. The 10th Voters’ Day was also celebrated for enhanced participation of citizens in the electoral process. The main purpose of the celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize the enrollment, especially for the new voters. Students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity.
